General Overview
A consistent, effective and appropriate strategy is
critical to the relative success of an organization
in business over time. Organizations should not, therefore,
simply pursue a "strategic fit" between
the existing competitive environment and existing
organizational capabilities. They should be anticipating
environmental change, influencing the balance of forces
in the environment, and developing their capabilities
and resources - in order to develop new sources of
advantage.
In this 3-day seminar we will actively go through
the steps involved in developing an effective strategy.
We will also look at different strategic positions
(schools) one can take - and discuss the advantages
and drawbacks they can pose on an organization's strategic
development.
